Search engine optimization companies use the nofollow attribute to control the Page Rank within a website. This was not the original intention of the no-follow tag. Nofollow is designed to control the flow of Page Rank from one website to another. We find that a nofollow used for an internal link works like a nofollow used for external hyper-link.

Pages such as “About Us”, “Terms of Service”, “Contact Us”, and “Privacy” pages are not important enough to earn Page Rank, and could have nofollow on internal links pointing to them.
Several Google employees (including Matt Cutts) have urged Webmasters not to focus on manipulating internal PageRank. Google employee Adam Lasnik has advised webmasters that there are better ways (e.g. click hierarchy) than nofollow to “create a bit of Page Rank”, but that it is available and is “we’re not going to frown upon it”.

Partnering with an SEO firm is a serious decision. I read recently how Google banned the keyword BMW because of alleged black hat SEO techniques where employed.

From what it looks like, the many German websites of car maker BMW, have been kicked out of the Google index. BMW.de at this time has a PageRank of 0. A search for BMW Germany, which only a few days ago yielded BMW.de as a top result in google searches, now doesn’t show any sign of BMW.de at all. Instead, BMW.com – BMW’s international site – is on top of this search.

The reason for the ban is likely to be that the BMW websites have been caught employing techniques used by black-hat search engine optimizers: doorway pages. The German and international bloggers last week were quick to exploit the news.

So, How do you find the right SEO company to work with? What makes a particular SEO company better than another? Luckily, the answers to these questions are the same. Search Engines themselves can give you all the information you need to choose the right SEO company.

Start by searching in ‘your area’ for ie denver seo company and look to see what companies appear at in the top 10 of Google. Chances are, these good are good at SEO – as evidenced by their own high rankings!

As always, we recommend you get referrals before employing an seo company. I recently received a client that had worked with one of my competitors for 3 months and they were unable to dedicate the time they promised to engage what they proposed. Staying on Top requires ongoing work and if a company promises top 10 positioning over night, be leary.

Either way, we hope this article has been helpful!

What is Search Engine Optimization?  This is a question we hear a lot.

Search Engine Optimization is a combination of several elements on your web page that are naturally (i.e. “Organically”) going to be found by the search engines, and other off-site elements that affect how your site is seen and ranked by the search engines.

There are 5 Elements that are essential fundamentals to your website being “Search Engine Friendly”:

  1. HTML Content – One of the most basic elements of making your site friendly to the search engines is to have HTML content.  Search engines read your website for search terms that are related to your subject.  When they find those terms on your site, they consider you for placement in their rankings.  Your website has to have properly written HTML content that talks about your subject matter, products or services.
  2. Titles, Descriptions, and Metatags – Descriptive elements built into the code of your website.  Titles are the most important element, as they tell the search engine what the page was written for, and appear as title in the search results.  Descriptions appear below the title tag and should be written with your reader in mind.  Metatags and metakeywords do not appear in the search results.  They should still be used but are not important to all search engines.
  3. Internal Link Structure – Internal Links direct the search bots when they scan a page.  A website with properly built Internal Links will direct the search bots to scan the entire site and ensure that all content is considered for search results.
  4. External Links – Inbound and Outbound links are essential.  All of the major search engines review your website’s inbound and outbound links for relevance and authority.  If your website has a properly developed web of inbound and outbound links, from high trustrank sites, you will have better visibility in the search engines.
  5. Sitemap - Your sitemap is a list of every item on your website.  Building a sitemap and submitting to the major search engines ensures that they are indexing your content.  Keeping an updated sitemap “on-file” with the search engines enables them to see when you have made changes to your website.

So those are the 5 fundamental elements of search engine optimization. If your site is lacking any of these elements it is not properly optimized for search engine results and you are missing out on valuable visitors.

Contact us today for an evalution of your website and we’ll give you an unbiased snapshot of how you look in the eyes of and . If you want to improve, we will get you there.MSNYahoo!Google

Search Engine Optimazation  (SEO) is an integral part of business today. A Web Site is but one of the many important elements needed. How your customer finds you and makes that important call to your business is critical.  How do you accomplish this task with SEO?  Scott Carvin and USWeb Central is a company who can answer your SEO Questions in Denver  this question.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO in Denver) is an important element in today’s market place.  Obviously, the fastest (and least economical) way to gain ranking is through paid advertising with Google Ad Words or with Yahoo!Search Marketing.  These systems work by setting up an account and bidding for keywords.  Most definitely you should set spending limits per day or you could end up with a several thousand dollar bill.

Organic or non-paid search engine optimization  (SEO in Denver) is a process where you improve your ranking with a goal on landing on the first three pages of a one or more of the major search engines. Today Google, Yahoo! and MSN are the major players. As an example, if a patient needed a dentist they would search for a dentist in the area they live in… not under the general term dentist. If they were to search under the general term dentist they would get results for dentists in New York or Los Angeles. Geo targeting i.e. targeting for customers in a specific area might be a strategy you would use.  In this example your web site should be rich in key terms related to your business( Highlands Ranch Dentist.) This loading your article with key terms (Highlands Ranch Dentist) is termed Keyword Generation.  The more content you write with key words contained with in them the better your organic ranking will be.

There are a series of complicated issues that relate to SEO that improve your organic ranking including… Title tags, Meta Tag Descriptions and Robot tags.  Each of these element can work in you favor to improve your Denver SEO rankings. Using Blogs, integrating video’s, article submission sites, outbound and inbound links etc. are just a few of the many ways to increase your organic rankings for SEO in Denver.
